What's the best Stephen King book to read?

I enjoy pretty crazy and horrifying books. I've seen pretty much every movie created off his books but I want to read something new and different. I need something that'll keep me on the edge.

The Stand is by far his best novel.
And the book is always better than the movie.

My all time favorite book is Stephen King's longest, The Stand. It is thick and can intimidate some people, but after reading the shorter abridged version I went out and got the longer version and read it again.

I like Desperation :) It's unique and I thought quite frightening and intense.

I really like the dreamcatcher, it's also a good movie but I always prefer the novels to the films.

Why settle for one author when you can get two? Try "The Talisman" by Stephen King and Peter Straub

'Nightmares and Dreamscapes' is my favorite. It is a compilation of his short stories, including 'the langoliers' and the library police'. The Tower series' was great, too.
