What are the positives and negatives of both company and outsourcing to payroll processing?

You have a business that sells a product or service. Payroll is complex and time consuming and a diversion from you business. I worked at a major hospital 500+ employees, and performed a cost benefit and ROI analysis, our break even on out sourcing of the payroll department was less than one year, we absorbed the "old payroll" department, also we rid our self of the pain, suffering and hassle.

Some of the advantages of payroll outsourcing include: cost and time saving, less investment and better services. One other reason for our-sourcing - keeping up with tax changes is a real headache. They're all paid to do that...
