Which Irish Whiskey is closest to Bourbon? Are they really Scotch?

Report as

They are all whisk(e)ys but, they are all made differently with different ingredients. Do not try to compare them. Just enjoy them for what they are.

The Irish whiskey that is close to bourbon is Jameson Irish whiskey. However, bourbon is not scotch as it is not made from malted barley and yeast. Bourbon and the Irish whiskey are not made from grain mixture and fermented through sour mash.

A whiskey can only be called scotch if it is made in Scotland. Bourbons and whiskeys are made differently. Also aged differently.
