I need help with a pregnant squirrel.

There is this pregnant squirrel in our yard. She lives in these rafters in the roof of our patio. It is springtime right now, but it's snowing like crazy (we are in Rochester, NY), and I'm afraid the babies won't do well in this cold weather. I have put squirrel food and bird food out for her, and some bread and lettuce, but I still feel I need to do more. Any suggestions?

It's squirrels your talking about I know you may be worried about them, but really just leave them alone the mother might take herself and her babies away and go somewhere else. Then you would probably feel bad for what seem like you running them off so I mean the feeding her is alright, but just checking and bothering every five minutes isn't cutting the mustard. And also don't hurt yourself trying to get upon the roof and get them for corn sake....

Well, maybe you can somehow bring her to a vet, or contact a animal center

I dont want to take her away from the out doors, but the squirrels arent used to such cold weather for their babies.

She will be fine. Squirrel have gone through this for thousands of years and survived just fine. I am sure she has a nest somewhere to keep warm in.
