Hopefully they never will. People drive like idiots. We do enough damage now when we're on the ground. Add a 3000 foot plummet to the earth into the equation and it would be havoc. Imagine two flying cars getting into an accident overhead and landing on your house.
When people can be unitedly smart enough to ALL be flying around in the skies.....which will never happen......drunk driving is a huge problem right now, so just imagine drunk FLYING......smh.......not even all that.....but where are all the landing strips supposed to be?? Who is gonna be in charge of who lands when?? It's just a pipe dream.......and furthermore, flying cars do exist, but you need a pilots license.....also, the cars are VERY user UN-friendly since you need to manually attach and un-attach the wings......never gonna happen.....
Why would they make flying cars???? It's the same thing as an airplane. Just get your pilots license. Besides people can barely drive. Why would you add another dimension, like height, to the mix? That just spells disaster!!!!!
like FatKenney says... As long as they are individually controlled we best hope it never happens. With a centralized control system that coordinates the traffic it could work perhaps. But flying is also very energy inefficient, at least with the technology we use so far.
the government cleared the first flying cars for personal use in the 1950s people thought that by the end of the century they would be flying out of their driveways to work unfortunately the idea of the flying car failed miserably so I guess you could say been there done that
Flying cars are already in the market and at least 7 Indians have already bought this... see if this link helps you. Flying car (aircraft) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_car
It will never be, you see how people drive now dont you, add that to the sky, plus drunk drivers, add car malfunctions, add on top of that old people, add on that gang fly bys, add on top of that terrorists, add on top of that the cost of a flying car, add on top of that the cost of insurance.
