Is it natural for me to be afraid of death?

I dont know what happens, i have ideas of what happens but i still dont if its true or not.
I think about it so much sometimes and i get scared but when i try to accept it, well i dont feel very much afraid to be honest. Its just that i dont know what will happen after.

It's perfectly natural to be afraid of death- we all have a built-in evolutionary survival instinct. Further, since the human mind is capable of pondering our own existence, we tend to recoil from the thought of "lights out".

Anyone that claims certainty about "after" is full of it. However, all current evidence indicates that everything we are is a function of our brain structure, so when it dies so too does consciousness.

That actually made me feel better- the knowledge that there won't be a "me" to notice I'm dead. Death is just like pre-birth, when you think about it.

At least in "how" we die. Humans also tend to share the fear of "the unknown" and "public speaking." :) when it comes to the afterlife, jesus promises heaven to all who call on Him and make Him lord. You have to decide to believe it or not. Peace and love to you.

Because of the resurrection, we do not need to have a morbid fear of death. Jehovah can, without lasting harm to his faithful servants, let Satan go to the limit in trying to prove his malicious charge that “everything that a man has he will give in behalf of his soul.” (Job 2:4) Jesus was faithful to God even to death, and therefore God resurrected him to heavenly life. Thus, Jesus was able to present the value of his perfect human sacrifice before his Father’s heavenly throne, with lifesaving benefit to us. By means of the resurrection, those of the “little flock,” as joint heirs with Christ, have the hope of being united with him in the heavenly Kingdom. (Luke 12:32) For others, there is the hope of a resurrection to everlasting life on a paradise earth. (Psalm 37:11, 29) All Christians find the resurrection hope to be a source of strength “beyond what is normal” when they undergo trials that bring them face-to-face with death.—2 Corinthians 4:7.

That's why we should all pitch in and invent the Philosophers Stone so that we can live forever. Because death is a scary thought.

Yes. If it weren't something natural that all humans felt, then most of us would end up killing ourselves because of the risky behavior we'd engage in!

It's natural for all animals to fear death, why do you think the rabbit runs from the fox or the elk run from the pack of wolves? Humans think that we are the only ones that have a sense of death, but actually all animals do, if it be natural or violent. We all fear it, it's how we accept it that matters.

Your fears are natural since death is not something that people want to experience. But the Bible reveals what happens to a person when they die. For example, look at what Jesus, God's Son, compared death to in the book of John.

(John 11:11-14) He said these things, and after this he said to them: “Laz?a·rus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.” 12?Therefore the disciples said to him: “Lord, if he has gone to rest, he will get well.” 13?Jesus had spoken, however, about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. 14?At that time, therefore, Jesus said to them outspokenly: “Laz?a·rus has died,

Note that in verse 11 Jesus compared Lazarus's death to sleep. He did this so that his disciples would get the point that when a person dies, they are in a deep sleep as it were. A sleep without dreams. But there is more that the Bible has to say on this subject. Would you like to know?

As believers in Christ we have hope and victory over death. ====================But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: ?Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? ? For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:51-57 NLT)=========================================Because God?s children are human beings?made of flesh and blood?the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. (Hebrews 2:14, 15 NLT)

First and foremost, the greatest antidote to the fear of death is to be assured of heaven when this life is over. To enjoy eternity in heaven, you must receive Jesus Christ by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16). He is the only way (John 14:6).
Ultimately, the Lord is the one who can remove our fears, including the fear of death. Those who know Him, are growing in Him, and living for Him can anticipate the afterlife with great joy, knowing they will be with Him forever (1 Peter 1:8-9).
