It's probably a blister. Relax. :)

You most likely had it rubbing on something that you didn't know about. Maybe your socks were too big and were rubbing on your skin. Maybe your shoes were too big or too small. Your workout shoes should be about a half size larger than your normal feet size. Maybe you had a blister that you didn't know about and it popped... I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.

P.S. It's not tape worms!

if you'd only cut the walk by a block or when the pain started- live and learn ?

As kuuipo posted, it is probably a broken blister. Make sure you wear good socks and use a little corn starch on your feet which stops perspiration and will keep your feet dry as you exercise. If this is the only place on your foot involved you should have no worries. I thought it might be athlete's foot however, you didn't describe any other symptoms. Keep on treadmilling. = )

Yes, darling you caught yourself a case of FOOT FUNGUS. Not I'm actually kidding with you, but it sounds like only a darn blister in which those things hurt just maybe put a band- aide on it and along with ointment medicine too....

that is a symptom of athletes foot. if the ripped skin was dead. if not you might have accidentaly got your foot caught on something. i have a scar on my foot because i tried to step on to the side of the treadmill and i barely missed and it swept my foot back underneath the plastic guard at the end
