When I am trying to connect my LG LM 32 6200 Television with My Laptop using a LAN Cable, I am getting an error as 'Local Area Network Doesn't have a valid IP configuration'. You need to connect the TV to a router, not your laptop. A router will assign your TV an IP address in the same way that an IP address is assigned to your laptop by your DSL or router. Many internet providers give users a DSL with built in router with multiple ports in the back plus wireless. If you don't have that type of DSL you need to purchase a dedicated router. I have seen a cheap versions for $7 and as high as $120. If you don't own the DSL /router device specified, your only solution is to get your own router and then it will work.

Hi Virrey... Thanks for your solution.... But please be informed that I have installed a virtual router software in my Laptop. This software works fine for wireless connections, but it doesn't work for this Local Area Network.... I already have an another router also but LAN connection doesnt work for that too... And since it is TV, I dont have any idea to check or configure the network settings for that...

If the internet works for everything else in the house that uses internet, then your best bet is to contact LG customer service and ask about this. Alternatively, you can contact your internet service provider because it might be a problem with the internet.
