How do I get my iTouch apps on my PC?

I want to update my iPod Touch to a higher generation but it says it will delete the apps and music on the device. I have my music on my PC that I can put back on after the uptade, but I can't figure out how to get the apps on my PC. Any suggestions?

You must have iTunes as stated by Savorydave. Then you can go to your Apple store and they will do it for you for free. I was worried that I would do it wrong. They did for me and showed me everything as it went. It is very simple and now I can do it myself. In all actuality, the iPod will do it itself. You just have to connect it and start it going. But if you need help, the Apple Store is right there for you and the service is free.

Don't you just sync it with your iTunes on your PC?
