My mother had a near-death experience years ago and she told me about it. She said she was aware of the pain she was in but didn't really notice it because of the emotions she felt. She said it was the most personal experience of her life. She still loved everything she experienced in life, all the people, her family, the things she did, the places she went. But she was OK letting it all go because he death was the only thing in her existence that was about her and only her.
