When fishermen catch fish and they don't want it they throw it back into the ocean, but why do most not survive?

Trauma from swallowing the hook and the fishermen yanking it out and tearing up the insides

So if fishermen would be more careful with that, they could survive?

Yes most likely but if you see them its just grab the fish yank the hook out n throw it back in

Because 1) they have been introduced to different air or air point OR 2) they hook that catches them gets caught in a spot that could infect or majorly infect the fish.

if It's a deep water fish you have to vent there lungs or they stay floating on the surface they changed the type hook that's allowed j hooks cant be used,only circle hooks that only catch the fish by the corner of their mouthes
