Depends what your looking for. If your looking for something in the PROSUMER grade or higher (wanting to be serious, buisness use, etc...) Adobe Photoshop Enhanced CS6 is what you want. Everything you need. If your looking for CONSUMER editing abilities, like doing the occassional photo fix, color change, blemish removal for home & friend use you looking at Photoshop Extended or Corel Products. If your looking for a "TOY" Like putting funny hats, eyes, changing faces real quick for uploads of friends thru your phone/computer/Android Pad/Etc... any of the below mention products are fun too. The thing to do is 1. Ask yourself - What do I need the photo program to do. 2. Find the one that has what you need that is easy for you to use. Do that and you'll be happy. IF you really want to get into editing, Adobe all the way and if your just starting out PLEASE get the training videos offered by Adobe / Lynda.com or Total Training, I found them the easiest of whats out there and stay away from EHOW, IMO its just a bunch of water cooler heresay that hardly ever leads to the proper help/conclusion. Have fun with you EDITING!! -ZoWillie-
If you are looking for a free one, Paint.net is a good option. It is a very capable photo editing software with many features of Photoshop, and a lot of extensions that extend the software way beyond its initial capabilities. I use it everyday and love it!
