Would you rather get a tan or make your self white? Do you feel pressured to do any of this? Why?

this is for a school project that I am doing. I want to know which you think is best and why, also if you feel pressured in anyway to make these changes on yourself.

Is there an option like neither. I honestly don't care what people think at the end of the day I won't see them or live with them. Their temporary but the bodily harm or things I do to my self is permanent

My answer is NO. I would not change the color of my skin. No pressure whatsoever even if the service is free.

Goldilocks, I agree with you. Some people seem to think that their answer is the one and only correct one............

Which one is "best"? Neither. We are the way we are because that is the way it was meant to be. Any alterations done to oneself is a decision only the individual can make. I would not allow anybody else to "pressure" me into changing ANYTHING. Should I chose to change, it will be because I CHOSE to do it. If a person attempts to "persuade" you to change, that means they don't accept you for the way you are, and aren't worth having around anyway.

I just noticed that Goldilocks pretty much agree and said the same thing, yet you "agree" with that answer and tell me that I am wrong??? How is that? smh

I think this is a good answer. People that do pressure you to change can't accept you the way you are. In some other countries I've been to everyone favors white. They sell creams and sprays for you to be white. They are pretty much afraid of the sun because they want to be someone they aren't. I also think the tanning is just as ridicules because half of everyone looks orange at the end. I think people should be proud of who they are and shouldn't be around people who think different.

if i were u, i would be tan. because being white is making u ammiadetly sick, being tan girl or boy is better, cause then that means you have a lot of energy. and then you wont be sick. if u go to the beach, u could be tanned for 6 hours under the sun.

id rather be white. being tan would be hard to keep up so it would never stay so you would have to go buy a expensive tan or go on a tanning bed and waste money. If you want a tan from the sun then you would have to go to to the beach a lot. then you start to peel. Plus you have to think about your heath. theirs a possible chance by doing that you could get skin cancer.
Be what you are naturally. your beautiful the way you are and other people should agree. :)

neither. I like my skin tone, but I'm not gonna complain if I tan from working out in the sun.

I am a light skinned woman of Spanish descent. I enjoy both looks but I don't feel pressure either way. Sometimes I enjoy a pale complexion with my dark hair and other times I enjoy a bit of a sunny glow( whether natural or faux tan). I think both are gorgeous but I'm not pressured by society on that issue.
