Charged w/seducing a16 yr girl. Has to register as a sex offender. Can his ex legally take his boys that are 12&10? Boys want their dad.

Internet sting. never was a girl.It was intrapment) Still wrong tho!! Do the Boys have a say in california court? The ex is remarried wanted him out of the picture for a long time. but he is a good provider and father.

There is a possibility that the boys will go with their dad considering the charges that have been pressed in court. However, being that the kids are minors, the court will decide who can rightfully take the kids. You can consult your lawyer for advice.

Not protecting him. he should and is being punished. 1 yr in jail. lost hix job..will never beable to work in the medical feild. lost his home. had to move in with parents. Cant get hired. now being stripped of parental rights for suducing a 16yr old fictional character. Yes its ffing wrong but his sins should be punished as well?

Thats wrong! i cant stress enough hr NEVER TOUCHED ANYBODY !. So you think for the rest of his life he should be punished for a victomless crime? Never be around his two boys he has raised himself? Not be able to work again and live in poverty?? And yes a year in jail! you scoff at that..thats a year he will never get back ..jail is pure hell when labed sex offender. If he had actually put hands on her..yes lock him up throw away the key. but he is 24..life just beginning. and now mediforically speaking..ended!

I think the guy should have thought of his kids BEFORE thinking of the minor. I'd love to see how he will explain not being able to go to any school functions to his sons, as a registered sex offender cannot go near the school........He was thinking with something other than his brain...........ijs

He never asked to make contact.. She did ! Asked him to meet her at the park. He declined. She kept enticing him..yet he declined. Never had.intent on meeting her in person. this went on for over a week..trying to. lure him out. To no avail. But he did participate in "sexting" with her..hense the charge "suducing a minor"

If the dad is the one registering as an offender, then yes the ex can reasonably press for full custody of the children. After all, his offense is a crime against children. Generally the children do NOT have a say in custody cases, unless they are old enough to be able to make a rational decision - usually over 13 years old - and even then it's the judge's decision if the children's opinion is even considered.

BTW it is not entrapment if he participated, regardless of who was on the other computer.

Thank You. Much appreciate the response. Not defending what he has done. It was wrong. I just dont know how he can be charged a crime against a minor when it was a fictional person. Once again NOT defending him. But i seen the pics "SHE" sent...did NOT look 16. Plus ' her' dialoge was def not of a 16 yr old.

Understandable, it can be a little confusing. It's the fact that he was still inappropriate after the person claimed to be a 16 year old girl that they're charging him for. It's the intent, just like someone paying an undercover cop pretending to be a hooker... even if nothing happened but money exchange.

yes that maes sense. But register as a sex offender for life! There was no victim. snd she was 16...i sure knew what i was doin at 16! He is only 24!! like i keep daying .i. know what hr did is wrong..he should be punished. i just think itd a bit excessive. Never been in trouble his whole life. Now labed under sex crimes. againsr a minor.and s year in jail ..Manslaughter cases have less punishment. The only thing he has r his boys..and noe they r being dragged away also. I DO NOT condone his actions. but his kids shouldnt be made victims by the court takimg them away from the only thing. they have ever known..
