What do you do when you drop your iPod in the toilet and you have no warranty, with water damage? How do you fix it?

I'm about to die here! I need my music!

Shake out as much water as possible and then put it in rice for twenty four hours before you attempt to turn it on. Good luck, it may not work.

You have to pay to get it fixed, buy a less expensive device, or hope it sorts itself out. It probably won't though. My laptop never recovered from me spilling something on it. (Why'd you tell people you dropped it in the toilet? Ewww.)

(We both put the toilet thing in parentheses, that's too funny!)

I hear you use rice to soak up the water & remove moisture from the phone. Take the card out & put the phone in a container of rice. You can also try a blow dryer on a cool setting. It may or may not work, but it's worth a try...
(WHY do so many people drop their phones in the toilet?!?)

Edit: Oopsy... I thought it was an "i phone," but still... try the rice method! Rice is good for absorbing & removing moisture from electronics. ;-)

Sunshine girl has the most reasonable answer. You have no warranty it'll cost a fortune to have it repaired. Blow drying will ruin it. Throwing it in a bowl of rice will break it.
