not in any way that i see it, if you are referring to Christianity. The bible says that marriage is between one man and one woman, and thats about it. if you love someone that is the same sex, then that is not a sin. lust is a sin, but that is universal between hetero, homo, and bi sexuals. and no sin is above any other, so that means a sin committed by any person regardless of sexual orientation is of equal wrongdoing. just dont get bonded in holy matrimony and i think youre good
I am a Christian, and also a used to be a bi. Is not that it is a sin, it's more something as unnatural, something that not suppose to be... not bad but also not a desirable behavior... at the end, is up to you, I chose stop doing it, I didn?t want to hurt God?s heart...
In Leviticus the Bible says "man shall not lie with a man as he does with a woman." Divorce is also condemned in Leviticus, also touching a woman within 7 days of her menstrual cycle . It also says not to wear clothes that blended two different fibers, so if you are wearing cotton and polyester you are a sinner!
I don't see how people can justify what they choose to follow in the Bible, and what is completely ignored. It doesn't make sense, does it?
"Sin" is a concept of the Abrahamic religions, usually applying to a host of things that harm no one.
Sexual preference is biological. And the prohibitions against same-sex behavior were introduced into Hebrew Scriptures after contact with the Greeks. As they wanted to make sure they had no similarities to "pagan" cultures, they outlawed many things accepted in those cultures, like tolerance for homosexuality (the Greeks even used it in some of their religious rituals) and higher rights for women like property inheritance and education.
Its considered a sin because of what the Bible refers to as "the fall" and then we became human with different intentions then what God wanted. so yes it is a sin. even though you feel that is is right.
every person on this earth sins. no one is better than another in regards to sin. we are all guilty. many Christians will proclaim that homosexuality will take you straight to hell, but my belief, in my God, says that God is a forgiving God, one that knows we are all sinners and will never be perfect. i, nor any other person on earth, can give you the answer you are looking for. you have to find some answers for yourself. i know that homosexuality is not right for me, but i am not God, and cannot tell you that it is a sin or not a sin. if you look at the changes in what was considered Godly from the old testament time to the new testament time, there are huge changes. there have been over 2000 years since Jesus' death why would i be so presumptuous as to insist that things have not changed since? - my advice to you is this, lead your life with integrity, honesty, respect and compassion- both towards other people, and toward yourself. if you have religious beliefs, follow your heart on how to live those beliefs. we CAN be sinners and worship God-everyone of us do. - to all of you who worship a different higher power than God, please i meant no disrespect or exclusion, but God is easier type on my phone than higher power every time. please insert your beliefs where appropriate.
The Bible nowhere directly mentions bisexuality. However, it is clear from the Bible's denunciations of homosexuality that bisexuality would also be considered sinful. Leviticus 18:22 declares having sexual relations with the same sex to be an abomination. Romans 1:26-27 condemns sexual relations between the same sex as abandoning what is natural. First Corinthians 6:9 states that homosexual offenders will not inherit the kingdom of God. These truths apply equally to bisexuals and to homosexuals. Does it really matter? If a religion tells you that who you are is wrong and sinful, why would you ever want to follow it? Live your life by your own morals; decide for yourself what is right and wrong. An ancient book written by superstitious nomads IS NOT a moral authority, nor should it be followed as one. Be true to yourself.
If you want to please God, you should avoid experimenting with conduct that the Bible describes as unclean. (Ephesians 4:19; 5:11) But what if you’re really drawn to both sexes? Many would urge you simply to embrace your sexuality and come out as bisexual. However, you should be aware that same-sex attraction is often nothing more than a passing phase. That’s what Lisette, 16, found. She says: “Talking to my parents about my feelings made me feel better. Also, through my biology classes in school, I learned that during the adolescent years, hormone levels can fluctuate greatly. I truly think that if more youths knew more about their bodies, they would understand that same-sex attraction can be temporary and they wouldn’t feel the pressure to be gay.” Even if your feelings are more deep-rooted than a short-lived growing pain, realize that the Bible presents you with a reachable goal: You can choose not to act on any wrong desires.*
In respects to what is a sin - Read Romans 1:26-29 - “God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene.”—Romans 1:26, 27.
Why does the Bible describe homosexual acts as unnatural and obscene? Because they involve sexual activity that was not intended by our Creator. Homosexual acts cannot produce offspring. The Bible compares homosexual activity to the sexual relations that rebellious angels, who came to be known as demons, had with women before the Deluge of Noah’s day. (Genesis 6:4; 19:4, 5; Jude 6, 7) God views both acts as unnatural.
Natural Use of Bodies. It is wrong for men and women to use their bodies in any way that is out of harmony with the functions for which God created them. What is unnatural in that sense is sinful. The Scriptures describe the uncleanness and condemnation coming upon those who practice these things: “That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural [phy·si·ken?] use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.” Such persons lower themselves to a beastlike level. (Ro 1:26, 27; 2Pe 2:12) They go after wrong fleshly things because, like a beast, they lack reasonableness, having no spirituality.—Jude 7, 10.
