Is getting tattoos a sin

Report as

yes its what the bible says but if you have any already God still loves you anyways and he forgives. just because people have piercings and tattoos makes them no worse or there sin any worse. like it says in the bible sin is sin, one is not greater then the other.

Well, I don't think that tattoos really glorify God, and the Word says that our bodies are a temple, and that we need to live holy.

Yes it is but it's not the most terrible sin you could ever commit!

I think this is the second question that I answer that comes from you... lol... well getting a tattoo is not a sin, actually I love tattoos and my husband has 5... the thing is that most of the time, well here in Latin America, I don't know your country, they are associate to bad people (gangs) if you want to get a tattoo, be absolutely sure, because it is on you skin, you can delete it, but still you will keep the scar... a tattoo doesn't make you a bad person

No somebody in the bible( I forget who it's early where I live) would pierce their skin to show they love Jesus so if u get a tattoo of something godly I don't think it's a sin

Sin or no sin, it's big time stupid! Want to look different ? Shave your head and paint it, that will wear off, and you will stand out in A crowd

Yes... Funny... A man got a tattoo on homosexuality being a sin... a verse from the bible yet almost just on the next page it forbids tattoos.....

Not really. The Leviticus verse about tats is old covenant law. If we had to still follow it we couldnt eat rare steak or wear cotton polyester clothes or any other blend. The tatoo/piercing law was not repeated under the new covenant through Christ like the ten main commandments and several others were. So tats, as long as the design is not dishonoring to God, are fine. Many great Christian tats available. Many great neutral ones as well. Just stay away from crude, rude, violent, degrading, racist, demonic, evil, occult, etc tats.
