Do you think that gay marriage will become legal nationwide in the USA in the near future?

Do you think in the near future it will be legal? How about ever?

Yes, I think so. Just look at votes for women, a few states gave women the vote and it eventually became nationwide, after about 60 years. Takes time, you have to wait for people who will never change their minds to die off.

I do support gay marriage, and so I think gay marriage will be legal all over the US , probably in about 2-3 years.

Think about if you go up to a kid and ask him " is it weird to see a man and a man or a woman and a woman" they'll answer right away "YEAH! Totally." Lets follow kids example they are more rational than us grown Same-sex ?marriage? opposes nature. Two individuals of the same sex, regardless of their race, wealth, stature, erudition or fame, will never be able to marry because of an insurmountable biological impossibility. PERIOD clear as water

So you want all of our society's decisions made by little children?
Interesting.
By the way - there are many thousands of children, right now, all over the world, growing up in loving homes with two parents of the same gender.
Report as
And they will not be as successful as kids with real parents. I'm not just saying that either, the facts are facts studies have been done.

Haha it's funny to argue against a stubborn head who supports unnatural, bizzard things like home sexuality!!

Yankeesderp- Actually, 60 scientific studies disagree with you. The American Association of Pediatricians completed a multi-year study through Tufts University in Boston that proves that children in same-sex households learn, grow, and thrive just as well or better than children in opposite-sex households.
Sorry.
That's not just my opinion- that's years of scientific research talking.

Yes, I honestly do and I sure hope it does too. Someone's sexuality shouldn't hold them back from getting married and starting a family. n_n

I have no doubt that gay marriage will be legal in no less then 10 years. Support for it has dramatically increased over the years with over half of the USA's population now in favor of it (Over 80% of 18-29 year olds support it alone), and support for it will only continue to grow. Don't worry, the discrimination against LGBT people won't last much longer, we're winning this battle.

The American Association of Pediatricians released a study today through Tufts University in Boston.
Their researchers examined 60 studies that were done nationwide comparing the success rates of children with heterosexual parents versus children in households with same-sex parents.
The evidence OVERWHELMINGLY showed that children in same-sex households thrived just as well, if not better, than children in opposite-sex households. They looked at school attendance rates, school grades, health, psychological stability, social behaviors, everything.
The researchers proved that the most important factor is that children need a parent or parents who love them and care for them. Period.
Regardless of gender.
Science!

The bigotry against marriage equality for gay couples is identical, in every way, to the bigotry that used to exist against marriage equality for interracial couples.
All the same people in opposition for all the same reasons.
The key is to continually remind people that the core of the issue is NOT homosexuality.
The core of the issue is equality!
Our success is inevitable.
Report as
I agree totally. Some people seem to think that we're trying to change the definition of marriage, when in reality, we're just trying to extend the right to people of all sexual orientations. I still don't see how people can continually use the same faulty arguments against marriage equality that they have for years, many of which were the same arguments against interracial marriage in the 50's and 60's.

Yes i think eventually it will, as to how long and when? i dont know, but to be honest here, a lot of people will be unhappy about it, including myself....well not unhappy exactly, just not the most excited. Sorry, i just dont support that cause

You don't support equality before the law?
Why not?
Report as
So because you will be unhappy, consenting adults shouldn't be allowed to marry?
Report as
yes to all above... Gay marriage SHOULDNT be allowed in my opinion, but if it is, its not like ill go around discrrimminating, ill just you know, treat them like normal people, im just trying to say, i do not support it, but i wont discriminate against it if it does happen to pass.

1. They ARE "normal" people, regardless of how you treat them.
2. By not supporting their rights, you already ARE discriminating against them.
3. Your grammar and syntax are atrocious.

Some countries that are open minded will accept ... but some still live in the 18th century and are late by 200 years etc. ... so depends on the country but no it's not gonna become nationwide take for example St-Peters that just had a law on no gays in public places so depends .

Yes, I think there is going to be a big change coming in the next few years on this subject. Already just since the
2012 Election, many in Washington have changed their minds and are agreeing with it.

gay marriage will become legal because the government has no right to tell you who to marry. the courts right now want the government and people to hash it out and eventually figure it out for themselves. that way they don't have to make the decision, which they shouldn't.
