Why in trigonometry ratio the hypotenuse taken as positive?

Report as

The hypotenuse is always positive because in trigonometry, it is thought of as a radius or radial vector, meaning it can point in any direction. However, in setting up the six fundamental ratios, we use the right triangle and the hypotenuse can go in any direction.
