why do my knees overheat when I'm on a bicycle?

its only when I'm riding a bike. I can run all day long. but when I start to pedal a bike my knees get very hot feeling and I when I get off its hard to bend them. any reason why a bike would do it but running or even parkour wouldn't?

It's because biking exercises mainly the knees. Running is for the thighs and calves, but biking makes the knees circle repeatedly.
