In 8th grade If you get in trouble for sort of plagiarizing and get a zero as a test grade what should I do?

"Sort of plagiarizing"? Plagiarism is one of those all-or-nothing things, either you did or you didn't. How much of someone's work you stole can vary but most of the time doing it at all is the problem.

Apologize to the teacher. Explain why you chose to plagiarise. Explain that your zero grade made it painfully clear what a bad thing it was to do. Ask if you can take a make-up test or do some sort of make-up project. Ask for coaching to help you get better at writing the important ideas from someone else's writing instead of plagiarizing it.

It is not OK. In fact if you do it in college, not only do you fail the class, you get expelled AND reported for copyright infringement.

I assume you were warned, yet chose to do it anyway...thus consequence.

Learn your lesson, and don't do it again.

I didn't realize you could "sort-of" plagiarise something. I always thought you either did or didn't. No in between.

If I get in trouble for plagiarizing, you don't have to do anything. You're getting your pronouns mixed up there kid.

You should accept that plagiarizing is dishonest. Take the zero, apologize to the teacher and say it won't happen again, and then approach your education with a new approach to personal ethics.

You still do not have an activity notice? Are you on a phone or a PC? I do not have an activity button on my phone, but it does let me know when someone has commented on my answers. It does not let me know if a comment was made to an answer I commented on though.

How do you "sort of plagiarize"? What you do is..................................

I asked and I'm one of the seven people in my class to do that . I reworded basically the whole thing it's just. I can't have a zero for a test grade or I will end up with a d or c .

Unless your test was an essay, plagiarizing in a test is not possible, its just cheating.

Never plagiarize (steal writing work) - if you get away with it - you will tend to do this again and again out of habit. You are ultimately cheating yourself out of your education. There are more severe penalties as you get higher in education or even business - expulsion, charges of academic fraud, or even copyright infringement (which can get you a stiff financial penalty).

Just own up to it. Don't lie, be honest. Work extra hard in that class from now on. Talk to the teacher privately and see if you earn extra credit some how. Lastly, don't do it again.
