Granada is a good place for an American to live when in Spain. The area has a favorable climate and numerous places where one can go sight seeing. The infrastructure is also safe. Visit http://www.lonelyplanet.com/spain/granada for more information.
are you speaking about Grenada in the Caribbean, a british virgin island? or Granada in spain, both are great places to visit, the island s language is french , the other of course, spanish. i can't imagine leaving on the island for very long though. watch island in the sun with Elizabeth Taylor this was filmed on the island. i think you should visit ,if you havent already, and then decide if you would like to live there. see what type of work you could get, where you would live ect. i wanted to live in puertorico before so this is what i did, saved enough to go for 3 months there while maintaining everything here. of course, i was younger then.less responsibilities. i say try it out like this first, you'll never know until you try.
