Why are women generally more sensitive to cold than men even though we tend to carry more fat ?
Muscle has a higher metabolism rate than fat does, therefore heating the male body up faster and for longer periods. I'm freezing right now matter of fact.
Lack/less body hair? just a guess though.
I'm guessing because (most) men have larger bodies, and can hold warmth better. Just a guess.
I seem to be colder? than women I've been around, lack of fat I guess.
Let's see what I could find......~~According to this site, it is the way fat is distributed in our bodies~http://www.bodyandsoul.com.au/health+healing/news+features/why+women+feel+the+cold+more+than+men,13259~According to Men's Health, women are geared toward keeping their cores warmer than men which causes the extremities to get colder~http://www.menshealth.com/mhlists/read_her_body_language/Hands.php~And these guys think it has to do with the way women and men perceive cold~http://www.medicaldiscoverynews.com/shows/254-thermostat.html
