Whats the best way to start doing 'radio' work or small time 'tv' work? I live in a city that has all sorts of opportunities

Best opportunity to do small time TV is produce your own show using public access TV cable channel. Best way to start in radio is webcasting. At this time, few actual radio or TV stations are hiring, and when they do, they prefer people with college degrees who have done internship work first.
