What are the functions of the channel, marker, and receptor proteins in the cell membrane?

Report as

Channel, marker and receptor proteins on the cell membrane are collectively referred to as integral proteins. Marker proteins enable a person's immune system to distinguish its cells from those of invading cells, while channel proteins are responsible for the transportation of materials. Receptor proteins, on the other hand, enable the effective communication of the cell with other cells.
