It is already compromised according to the description. I wouldn't spend any time in it until it has been inspected for soundness and safety by a qualified building inspector. If you rent the house get your money back and find another place to live. If you bought it and the defect wasn't disclosed by the previous owners at closing then go to the title company and file a claim against the Title Insurance. That's why you pay for it.It protects you and the Mortgage Co.
