Why is it important that we keep time? Why can't we just do things when we are ready instead of rushing things?

We make plans, and schedules for our daily lives yet we never seem to complete everything we want to accomplish. So time is just a guide. Should thought be something that we rush?

How ya gonna plan a date? You can't just tell her "Meet me there whenever you feel like showing up." You might be gone by then.

Well the world would be too crazy and unorganized. People wouldn't be productive. Just imagine the chaos

Because we aren't doing them alone.

Well... what if you ask someone to meet you in the morning, or the evening, or even the night? I mean, each of those takes like hours at a time.

what is the rush?
Report as
Being there on time. I mean if they don't have the right hour to meet you, then you could be sitting there in the morning (from 6 to about 11) and you'd be waiting for like 5 hours. You rush because of the same thing.

yes i see that you think it is important to be on time but how often do things go absolutely according to plan? very rarely do we arrive perilously when we say we will. so maybe we say i will be there around 3ish instead of saying 3:01.23 right you don't show up on the second that you plan to do you? I would say that since our society has put so much importants on keeping track of time and taking advantage of all the time we have. we have spead up the process of advancement in technology and productivity.
Report as
Well that's why the person who's waiting must be considerate of you and your situations. And if we didn't keep track of time, it'd be so much worse.

originated from humans ancestor, the apes. Have you never watched The Planet of the Apes? Apes had certain times to do certain things.

Great question, one I've asked myself many times. I think I'll put that on my bucket list: Live one month without my natural rhythms being disrupted by any kind of timepiece whatsoever. Very hard to implement, but I'd like to see what results.
As for your answer, we are hard wired to be this way, we evolved as diurnal creatures for obvious reasons, but the pressures of modern living can be overwhelming.

After I make a living by inspiring the next generation to change the way we all think, I want to go up into some tropical sanctuary and meditate until I can fully enjoy and understand my inner peace and the power of my thoughts and my mind.

Wow, I like the way you think! I have attempted what you have just described, and it's a work in progress, but so worthwhile. I'd really like to be able to have more TIME to try it for an extended period someday. Sooner rather than later.
Worthy goal to inspire the next generation, btw.

I would recommend listening to Anna Thompson she has "songs" on spotify and probably iTunes. What they are is basically meditation guiding sounds and she speaks and guides you into a stated of deep relaxation within your mind. It is great and doesn't take long at all!

Thanks. I'll definitely check her out. I did two weeks in Sedona (the desert is breathtaking and peaceful) but the extended period you write about doing in the tropics sounds fantastic. I hope you get to experience it.

i would not want to do it on my own tho. I want to find someone who is as dedicated to finding their inner peace as I am and take them with me and grow closer together as one.

Yeah I know how you feel. The inner journey does not always have to be a journey of one.

you seem like a really awesome person!
