Peanut Butter has protein. Protein is good for you. As long as you are not eating a can a day, you should be okay.

Not at all! I was on a diet where I lost 30 lbs. and one of the breakfasts I was allowed was peanut butter on waffles. I had it 2-3 times a week.

Its a good source of protein but don't be fooled by some of those popular name brands! It's very important that the peanut butter is all natural. If not, the Sugar content is absolutely ridiculous and that could cancel out the benefits of the protein in the peanut butter. They even have no-stir versions of the all natural peanut butter if you're a bit more picky.

The problem with most peanut butter today is that it has a ton of sugar or corn syrup mixed in. Use natural peanut butter. Not as sweet but much healthier.
