Ahhhh yes....the problem that has plagued mankind for centuries now, the ever dreaded "need to awaken from slumber"......I guess the real question is "Do you HAVE to get out of bed?".....I find it much easier to stay in bed if I have "nothing" to do, whereas if something really needs to get accomplished, then I have no problem hopping out of bed to start the day.....and here's a little "sleep related link"......8) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6zcSFA7ymo

I once met a world champion cyclist and asked him what he found hardest in his training. He said, "Getting out of bed." Once he got as far as the bathroom and threw cold water in his face he was right to go.
Lying abed is a young person's dilemma. We all went through it. I'd love to start a blood transfusion service to take blood from the young and inject it into old people to cure their insomnia.
