According to Christian belief (which I am assuming you're referring to with "heaven") then it is believed that a person who ended their own life does not go to heaven. I've had people say they go to HeII and some who say their spirit haunts the Earth in the afterlife. It would be best to ask a priest about this.
I think so. If you believe in a heaven, why would you be kept out after living a life so miserable that you couldn't take it any more? Think good thoughts for your friend and try not to judge him. If you are a praying person, pray that god will welcome your friend with an understanding heart. I think he will; my god would.
First off, I'm sorry for your loss. I know what the bible says, but I think God is not going to send people to hell because they killed themselves especially since your poor friend was bullied. The bible also says that we should practice forgiveness and I think God will forgive your friend.
Hi I was a nun for some time.. And as the bible states from the 10 comandments comiting suicide is a grave sin and is NOT forgiven from GOD. Yes unfortunatly the soul will be led into eternal flames for who is he to be taken his own life when It is GODs job to GIVE an TAKE the life of a person.. So srry for ur lost i will keep him in prayer..
First and foremost, sorry for your loss. It must have been terrible getting that news. And your friend must have been bullied horribly if he decided to take his own life. As far as your question goes, I'm not a religious man, but if there is a god somewhere out there, he's not stupid. He saw what happened to your friend and knows why he did what he did. I'm guessing he felt there was no way out of his situation. Whatever the case, if God's clever, all-knowing, wonderful etc. like religious people say he is, I don't see why these characteristics would switch off when someone kills themselves. You needn't worry. And again, sorry for your loss.
Depending on your personal faith & beliefs, & if you believe in God, ask him to forgive your friend, on your friend's behalf. If God forgives people's worst sins, as some faiths teach, & listens to your prayers for others, then believe your friend will be OK. esp. under such sad circumstances. He didn't realize what he was doing. It doesn't make him a bad person, just someone who made an awful mistake. And unfortunately suicide is not a mistake people usually have the opportunity to learn from. If he saw the fear, hurt & disappointment he's caused you, he might not have done this to himself. It's hard to say. People can hide their pain & intentions from othes very well. Hang in there.
Let's suppose for a moment that the Bronze Age myths found in the Iron Age religion of Christianity are somehow true (despite all common sense and logic)... A person taking their own life is obviously spitting on the gift God so graciously bestowed upon them and so should no doubt suffer eternally in Hell. But! Can a person who takes their own life be right in the head? And should God hold it against the individual when they were obviously unbalanced, mentally? Therefore, a person taking their life almost certainly WON'T go to Hell.
A person can still go to heaven if he commits suicide provided he is saved before the suicide. Most people believe those who commit suicide will not go to heaven because the person didn't have time to repent for the sin. What we should remember is that we do not go to heaven based on what we do or don't do. We go to heaven based on what we believe and have confessed what we believe. One's eternal life depends on God's grace and Christ's redemptive work on the cross, not a person's last act before death. Suicide is not an unpardonable sin. Jesus died on the cross for all sins: lying, stealing, murder, fornication, adultery, and even suicide. No matter what sin is committed, at the moment of death a saved person is carried into the presence of God ... Of course, if the person is truly a Christian, then asking for forgiveness before the suicide will have no effect on his eternal destiny, for they are still a child of God and will still go to heaven. No matter how a Christian dies.Saying that a person who commits suicide can still go to heaven does not give one a license to commit suicide. http://www.examiner.com/article/will-a-person-who-commits-suicide-go-to-heaven
