Well I've always liked that saying, "Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice shame on me!" I say this only because it's always truly up to the other individual if they ever want to change their current ways!

That depends on so many things. If you are the local newspaper and I have not received my paper, I might give you more chances than if you are my car mechanic and you sent me out with faulty brakes. It depends on the seriousness of the offense, the risk involved, the amount of money involved, and the background I've had with the individual. On a personal level, it still depends. I would give more chances if you are failing to pick up milk when asked than if you are cheating on me or beating me. It depends on the seriousness of the act, how it harms others involved, and our history.
nip it in the bud. i always say. The sooner the better, because if you dont, the time you take will work against you. The longer you wait, the more you put them in control of the situation. take control.
