Why can't we ask multiple versions of one question?

I find it silly that when we do our question gets removed. I thought that the Ask Community was all for helping get quick answers, but on some of my questions I don't get any answers at all. After a while I think that no one is going to scroll down far enough to find my question, so I put up a new, slightly modified one. Why are these being taken down? People need answers, and there's not much hope for one if you can't ask more than once.

I know it can be frustrating, but you need to give it some time before asking again. Duplicates will be removed.

We do want you to find answers to your questions, so try rephrasing at a later time and asking again. Thanks!

Hi Shoosie! I sent an email to Eric at Ask.com Feedback about this. He asked me to flag these. You can look at my comments to see why. It's getting a bit silly, how frequently it's happening!

The same question asked 50 different ways gets really old!

Wow, thanks Living!
Dragon, I don't know what to say. When I need an answer super quick this is the last place I'd go. Google.

Not for what I'm asking this time. I need opinions and ideas from real people for this one.

I need to know a reason why the article, "The Myths of the Underground Railroad" has a social core concept - meaning that it affects peoples' beliefs - for a critique I'm writing for history. The critique's due tomorrow, and my teacher won't accept it if it's late.

I think it's also important to think your question out before you post it. Try writing it down different ways and choose the wording that best targets what you really want to know and provides just enough background information but not too much. Questions can fly by pretty quickly when there are a lot of users, just because you don't get an instant answer doesn't eamn you won't get lots of help if you wait 10 minutes.
