What is the most efficient way to burn calories?

I don't just mean like exercise, but like what form of excersize and any eating habits (no carbs, no sugars, etc.)

Swimming..low impact, uses ALL of your muscles...feels very refreshing, too.

1. Exercise moderately with aerobics & weights, gradually increasing the intensity as fat is lost.
2. Gradually cut back on all bad fats, while strategically cutting back on carbohydrates (carbs).
3. Mix up aerobic sessions.
4. Exercise aerobically after weight training or first thing in the morning.
5. Drink at least 1 gallon of water per day.

Might not be all that appropriate, but physical activities that would occur in the bedroom burn more calories than running... its been proved.But if you're not into all that Just Dance and Zumba are both fun and a workout!

the average bedroom exercise only last six minutes so it only burns up 21 calories so while the concept is true the benefit is far from the most successful method of burning calories.

You could try fasting for two days, while still eating on those days. You eat normally for 5 out of 7 days and for 2 days you simply eat like a quarter of what you usually eat. But it would be 2 times a day. Hope this helps.

Excercise daily by maybe running or push ups!! And, I know, maybe you hate this, but try eating celery!! It is known to burn your calories!! Oh, and a lot of people forget this, but drink plenty of water!! I don't know what is your age (don't tell me it, ok?) but make sure to drink at least 8 cups!! Might be fantastic if you drank a gallon... that's 8 times more!! :) Do all this stuff, and you will get your calories burned in a blink!! :) Hope I helped!!

If you are going to drink tons of water, make sure you replenish your electrolytes.. something like gatorade, powerade, or young coconut water (preferably with potassium).

Outdoor sports such as climbing, cycling swimming and aerobics and so on would help a lot. :) They have different effects for different parts.

I don't know your age but, if you are under 21 please check with your family. But give up all soda, juice, and anything that you have to add sugar to like coffee and tea. Drink water only. Put it in the freezer, it's delicious when icy cold. Next eliminate dairy from your diet, all dairy, cheese, milk, ice cream etc. Humans are the only animal that drinks milk after the first few months of life. You will feel lighter immediately. I wish luck and hope you get where you want go

A group of Scientists and Doctors recently reported after exhaustive research and testing, that rock climbing sheds the most weight, and burns the most calories. Speed climbing being the very best. The funny thing is, they don't yet know exactly what it is about climbing. that makes it the best. Yet burn calories and weight, it does. Their current findings seem to point to a "Perfect Storm"occuring. None of the components; for lack of a better word; by themselves, are the best way to burn off the calories and weight. However when you combine them, everything seems to mesh in a way that makes the sum, greater than would expected. Ok bad example considering the topic, but when making cookies; for example; the combination of ingredients mixed together, make the delicious final product. Trying to eat the ingredients individually, a mouthful of flour, raw eggs, salt, etc, would suck.

being happy! is the best motivator - I was in a horrible marriage for years and overweight for a long time... when I finally got the courage to leave him, I become this new person... I lost myself all those years... now I have found me.... the pounds shed right off, you would be amazed, I mean I do eat right and exercise as well... but your frame of mind in weight is key, that alot of people forget about.

the answer is "D" all of the above...however the winner is blacknightaudio....The more muscles you can work under the most resistance the more oxygen demand you create and the more calories you burn. The ideal way to burn fat and preserve muscle is through interval training…compound movements one after the next with small rest intervals…interval sprint training on the treadmill works very well also…

Its sounds mean but what i do is that i have a glass of milk for breakfast, lunch and dinner and in three days i lose 2-3 pounds. In the morning you can eat some fruits but not at night.

The best way to burn calories most efficiently is to do interval training, get on a cardio machine and do 30 seconds as hard as you can go, 1 minute jogging pace. Start the day with high protein foods that will bring up your metabolism which burns the most calories as well as eating high protein foods within thirty minutes of your workout. The 'after burn' effect will increase your metabolism.

Cardio is my favorite type of excersice cause its fast and gets you energized really quickly.(jumping jacks, jogging, running ) Also Dancing is one of my fav. types of excersice cause it's enjoyable while you still get the benifit of burning a lot of calories. If your not really feeling in the mood for these walking burns tons of calories and can be a good feeling and stress reliever. hope this helped :)

I suggest high intensity whole body workouts. You can burn through calories really quick but u have to commit cause its hard

Take exercises your comfortable with and put them in intervals to make something like this

30 seconds of jumping jacks
30 seconds of mountain climbers
30 seconds of pushups
50 meter sprint
30 seconds of situps
30 seconds of jump squats
30 seconds of plank
1 minute rest
Repeat 3 times

For workouts like this theres a few guidelines you should use
1 Keep good form
2 If you hearts not pumping, go harder
3 Dont stop!

Eating right is important. Cut out junk and anything with flour. Stick to fruits and veggies, complex carbs like rice and potatoe, and lean meat like fish and chicken. If weight loss is the goal then go lighter on carbs, but remember that food is fuel so dont starve yourself. If you do you'll slow down your matabolism and thats counterperductive

Well, in chemistry... the best way to burn calories is by setting them on fire.

But you must be interested in Biology!
From my experience and those around me, the best way to burn calories is by endurance exercises much like the ones Theworldisyours posted. Also, if you're wondering what the secret behind the Navy Seals basic routine workout is... it's eating less calories than what you burn. So if you want to have that nice lean look... count your calories and run,Swim, Jump, Climb... endurance!

there's also thermogenesis which is the thermic effect of eating, by eating certain foods that raises your body's internal temperature and leads to calories being burned off.. one such example is cayenne, eat ttoo much of this and you will find yourself heating up and sweating..

Cardio is a good way but you can also do circuit training. You find a couple different exercises or machines to do and you use light weights with high reps. You try and take as short of a break in between each so your heart rate stays up and the blood keeps flowing. Take a small break once the whole circuit is done and then do it again. This will not only burn a lot of calories but you also tone up your body so you see results in the mirror faster while the fat is lost.

Just a thought and a good way to burn a lot of calories!

If you want to monitor your training/weight loss to see which exercises work etc, you should get a professional to take your skinfold measurements. It's a really easy way to track your progress as the traditional 'scales' often don't represent your weight loss/gains. A good company is Millimetre Perfect www.millimetreperfect.com.au. Don't go to a regular gym for this kind of thing as they are not qualified to do this kind of testing. Good luck!

Hi there, While the answer above do shed light on burning calories. The most effective way is to "Monitor What You Eat". Yes that's right- let me explain briefly.
Yes exercise does bur a high amount of calories, there's no doubt about that. You see the thing is, how was your body burning calories before you got to the point where you felt you needed to exercise.

Our body responds to the situations it's in - in according to self preservation. Ok so if your only eating 1-3 meals a day then you will find that you might have a hard time losing a few extra pounds (if that's your goal). Instead eat 3-5 or 6 even, well balanced small portion meals a day. You will burn burn much more calories this way.

Reason why- With just 1-3 meals consistently, your body will only burn enough calories as to make it thorough the day. With 3-6 meals ( 4 meals 2 snacks) a day your body can now work in overdrive and start burning calories left and right. Compound that with exercise and healthy choices when you want a snack and your a calorie burning machine.
Remember this - Whole Foods at controlled portions (NO PROCESSED FOOD AKA: McDonalds, Bugerking, Popey's, & etc)
