Is a headache for 3 weeks normal? i have health anxiety and have been worrying alot recently! ive had it before and it last 2 weeks:)

please give me serious answers, im 17, had eye test, no pressure in the head thankfully:D! on my last question someone tried scaring me by going ''you need an MRI before its to late'' which isnt really something you should say to someone with health anxiety!thanks guys!

Having a headache for three straight weeks cannot, in any circumstances, be considered normal. You might be suffering from migraines made worse by the anxiety issues, but you would be best off talking to a doctor for medical advice.

You might have a tumor
I've experienced these before I had it for two months.
Does it make you tired and do you sleep for hours and when you get up its gone?

You need a CT of your head and you need to see your medical provider. It's not super urgent but you need to do so as soon as you can. Otherwise there is no way to know for sure. I think I answered this question once.

I've had something like this before, only thank god it was only 4 days D:
Make sure you get plenty of rest, water, and you're eating regularly. If light irritates you, you're dizzy, then most likely you have migraines.
Please consider migraine prevention drugs if:
You have moderate-to-severe headache pain that is disabling and interfering with your life despite treatment, you have at least three moderate-to-severe headache days per month, and your migraines are seriously affecting your quality of life. Talk to your doctor about your thoughts on taking preventive medications for migraines. Then you can decide the best approach for your headache problems

I'm sorry that you have been suffering with that pain all this time. Honestly no one here can give you any accurate diagnosis. You really should seek care from a medical professional who can actually see and touch you. Hope you feel better soon.

I would get a second opinion from a specialist. Could be something simple that the eye exam missed. Try not to stress yourself out, because that alone could be the root of the problem. Stress induced headaches are common and can be controlled through relaxation methods. A specialist will know for sure.

That headache could be from a number of things, dehydration, your anxiety/stress, sinuses, an allergy to something like wheat/gluten/milk ect..., high blood pressure, vision, too much or lack of caffeine, a new medication... It could be anything sweets... The question is, how often do you get this type of headache? How do you rate the pain on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst pain you've ever felt? Is it pounding? Stabbing? Shooting? Dull? Does it radiate anywhere else? Did you eat or drink anything out of the norm?

right, how often-hmm i get them twice but they last 3-4 weeks, Pain-Rate: it isnt pain its more like a band! but if it was pain id say a 2 ive had a worse headache!, its more like constand pressure, if i lay on it i cant feel it, its like my head muscles relax if i lay on them!, and i have noticed everytime i drink Dilutable orange squash they get worse! but didnt think you could suddenly have an allergy to it :( but its not really pain as i said, its like pressure which my doctor said brain tumours dont cause pressure on the outside but on the inside which causes pain not pressure, but my anxiety is making it worse!

Typically a tumor causes other things like sudden loss of consciousness, mixed up words when you speak or words out of context, vision problems, ect... It very well could by sinus related simply bc when you change position you get some relief... I do however think you should go to your doctor, but if you wanna exhaust all options before doing so, I think starting with some antihistamines & definitely Benadryl before bed would be a really good start... You might even consider doing 1 or the other 1st & by itself so if it is sinus or an allergy you will be able to tell by the medication you take to treat it... If antihistamine knocks it out it's sinus, if the Benadryl knocks it out it's allergy... My vote is on the Benadryl...

You could have a sinus infection, they can cause ongoing headaches.

hey guys give the girl some slack! i have pressure above my ear and temple for about 3-4 weeks, been through the ''brain tumour'' panic, my GP told me brain tumours dont cause outside pressure but inside pressure which causes PAIN not PRESSURE on the scalp, you could be making yourself think its still there cause youve had it so long i did that once:) dont panic doesnt sound one bit like a brain tumour
