Is windows 8 more complicated than windows 7?

My aunt has a PC with windows 8 she says it's way more complicated than 7, how true is this?

It may not be more complicated but it is FAR FAR different than Windows 7. It is supposed to be more like the Ipad, Iphone or Android operating systems, more graphically drive, the start menu is gone, you have a start screen vs a desk top but are jumping back and forth between this screen and the desk top to do anything. If you really want to see it... and you should before you get a computer with it on there... check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_E1UxI5I_jo

Not that complicated, but a huge lot different than 7.

It is just a pain to launch programs, I hate having everything... EVERYTHING on my desktop I would rather have the list, personally I think it is slower to use, more steps in Windows 8 than in 7

Thank you rusty good to see you

It's not complicated but just different. Though the difference is not much obvious until you have a device that has a touch interface.

All I can say is my friends that got led into purchasing the system, don't like its changes at all. It is overly complicated for most first time computer users.

Not complicated but different. Im using win8 for more then 3 months and its easy to use once you get used to the new ui and if you dont like it there are programs that can bring you back the old one.

Right, but why doesnt Microsoft give the user the option of the old style screen like they used to do with previous versions of Windows? I shouldn't have to hack the software to make it work the way I need it to for business. Great for kids looking for a IPad but for business, not so much

Yes thats true but thats just the ui.I have noticed that my pc is runing faster due to the new build and you can clearly see that time to boot your pc has decreased. Its the main reason why i didnt went back to 7.That and my laziness.
