2 Timothy 3:1-5 outlines the attitudes of people. “But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God...” If you think about it, many of these characteristics are the same as the Devil.
Notice additionally what is says at John 8:44, “You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie.” Sometimes people do bad things because they have a lack of spiritual focus.
They don't. They have a reason... and 99% of the time it's because they are insecure. They can only feel BIG if they make other people feel small. Don't let them get to you and they will not feel any bigger. But never respond by trying to make them feel hurt. They may also be lashing out for other reasons. Problems at home, work or school can make them feel useless or insignificant. Always...ALWAYS... be the better person.

The Bible tells us that this will be the "signs of the times", the kind of days we are living in this system. 1Timothy 3:1-5 tells us that "men would be lovers of themselves... Having no natural affection."
Thankfully, thought, God promises to do away with these harmful acts. Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe out every tear from their eye, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
I would say that everyone does something for a reason, so even if it looks like people are hurting others for what seems like fun there's a reason behind that. Generally, i believe that people will act to benefit themselves...some go about doing that in a "good" way and others do in a "bad" way
The simple answer is selfishness. Humans are dichotomous by nature. We are for the most part egocentric, but are social beings. You would think social beings that need to interact with others would be less self-centered. We define ourselves by defining others, but this is a proven flaw.
