Can you get a broken wrist from doing a handspring/backbend because you didn't stretch first?

I think it may just be sore. Try moving your hand and all five fingers. If they move it isn't broken, just get an ice pack and settle down. Don't do anymore activities for a while until it heals.

Oh yea i forgot about the ice pack(darn) But you are absolutly right about that....always keep an ice pack near you and "Settle down" i have to give you a star on that:D

I don't think stretching has anything to do with it

I was doing gymnastics and cheerleading and I broke my wrist doing a backhand spring and of course I didn't stretch because it was a little tense and when you push ur muscles and bones by doing any type of stunt I think it will break or.just be sore :)

yes you can break you wrist from not stretching

I was doing a back bend and my hands slam onto the floor. It hurted really bad but i also did handstands.. and from handstands, they also hurted too. So i don't know which one made my wrist sprained. but if you keep doing a back bend or handstand, it'll get tighter and hurt even more. just like mines. i have to bare with all this pain. :(

Well what you can do is settle it down. Relax. Dont push it so much. Stretch a least 3 times a day for about 15 minutes. if that doesnt help then take a day off. put an ice pack on it. But the best thing to do is stretch. And if dat doesnt help the pain im not sure what happend. Go to a doctor if your pain is still there...i was a gymnast and a cheerleader. And in gymnastics the same thing happened to me. so what i did was i kept stretching and stretching and relaxing it. and it was back to normal for a couple of days or so. But then one day i didnt stretch and i broke my wrist. Stretching is eally important unless you want a broken wrist lol Hope This Helped:D
