It means so much to me! In fact I'm going to a service to commemorate his life. Many will be observing his death tonight at Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide. The Memorial will focus on these three questions:
1. Who is Jesus? 2. How has his death helped us? 3. Why is it important that we remember him?
well, to start from basics, it was quite an important event in the history of Christianity, and as it is so that I follow such a religion, I must say that His death has impacted me rather magnificently as well, although not quite as directly as it would be for someone who knew him in the time period of His life. my very belief system has been impacted, and that is quite a significant thing for me.

He change my life... at the beginning I just wasn't able to believe that someone who was innocent, die because of me only because of the love he has... and now, I just can't stop thanking him because he now is the owner of my heart, he gave me a husband and a baby, I wasn't able to have babies, and I can tell you for sure, Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me... and I believe he IS STILL ALIVE! MY GOD IS NOT DEAD... HE IS SURELY ALIVE!!
His heart was broken Mine was minded His became sin Now i am clean. The cross He carried Bore my burden. The nails that held Him Set me free. His scars of suffering Brought me healing. He spilled His blood To fill my soul. His crown of thornes Made me royalty. His sorrow gave me joy untold. What love Dvine He gave His life for mine. He was dispised and rejected Stripped of His garment and oppressed. I am loved and accepted. And I wear a robe of Righteouness. His life for Mine How could it ever be, That God's son would die To save a wretch like me, What love devine He gave His life For mine.

To realize all that He went through just for me: beating, abandonment, scourging (whipped with a whip that had several strands of leather with shards of glass and metal attached, that would RIP away His skin each time), being spit on, kicked, ridiculed, mocked, his beard plucked out, and then hung so he couldn't breathe. That should have been me. The fact that He loved me so much that He took all that for me - it is so very humbling, and causes me to be oh, so grateful. And joyful. Then the fact that He arose 3 days later - which proved His power over death - that has astounded me, and given me tremendous hope of all that is to come. It has proven He is Who He says He is. And I know He's alive today. He lives in my heart... And I can feel Him near me. Always.
"And I saw a man upon a cross, and I heard him yell in agony, and I went to him and said 'I will take you down'. But he said to me, 'no, let me be', and I said, 'but I cannot bear your cry'. To this he replied 'I cannot be taken down, until every man, woman, and child, come together, and take me down'. So I asked him, 'what can I do?' and he said 'GO, go and tell everyone you see, that there is a man, on a Cross". While Jesus suffered and died for us, and gained me the opportunity for salvation, few seem to realize the reality that he is still on the Cross for many people. Jesus is God, and therefore, transcends time, his crucifixion happened not only then, but will continue to exist and happen for as long as there is sin, and every sin we commit, adds to his burdens on that Cross. For he died for all sins, past, present, and future. To some of us, he has risen, and claimed his kingdom. For far too many however, he is still a man, a man on a cross, suffering only, for their sake.
His death is not as signicant as his resurrection. What IS significant is his level of obedience & depth of his faith. Now, how that has effected me is it's served as an example to follow and as a daily challenge to meet. His death in particular hits me hardcore from the angle of pain he endured because he refused to not be disobedient. It moves me that a person would, out of sheer obedience & faith, allow to happen "come what may". That just really hits me...every single day.
The death of Jesus is actually one of the most impact full events on mankind's history. If you are a Christian or not, the death of Jesus has affected you some way or another. His death created a revived religion, born from his execution and spread across Europe and the Middle East. Christianity grew to dominate Europe, which eventually fought the Crusades, colonized the world, and brought their religion with them. Jesus's death sparked a religion which would grow to become the largest in the world, and believer or not, you have been affected. Politically, economically and historically
