What is therapy? What are different types of therapy? What does therapy mean to you? (Details)
ok so I pretty much know what therapy is, I'm just trying to feed some ideas for my paper. I'm writing about chemical medicine; "control vs therapy." Doctors often subscribe it as therapy, when in fact, or at least in my opinion, it's more so control. We aren't taught coping mechanisms when we explain our issues to doctors, we're usually just handed a pill that controls our mood and that we have to now be dependent on, when in fact there are a lot of coping mechanisms that are a much better, less co-dependent way to live, and it teaches you to be more in control of yourself. I'm just trying to get a better idea for my paper, by diving into exactly what therapy is, so I can see how it contrasts with medicine. So, anyway, not regarding my paper topic, cause that's not what I'm asking, just WHY I'm asking, what is therapy? what does it mean to you? what are some examples? thanks in advance. :) and please don't give me your opinion on my topic: that's just me informing you of why I'd ask such a question, my opinion is set on that, and it's not why I'm asking.
