Whenever you want, I don't think there is a "too old", there's no law. If they don't want to give you candy that's their thing. If you're 13 or older, it's easier if you have a little kid to go with though. Happy Halloween!
I would say your junior to senior year in high-school, Most people prefer to give candy to younger children and often tend to run out of candy faster when having to give candy to every single person under the age of 20.
Some towns may have an age limit. I think if you're in high school, you are still young enough to trick or treat if you want. After 18, you probably would rather be at a party or stay at home and dress up and hand out candy.
Don't be a dumb child and go trick or treating once you get into high school. I like candy but I feel like it's rude to be going door to door for candy that's supposed to be a childhood experience, it's supposed to be for the little kids. I however dress up and go to parties, haunted houses, Halloween events....if you're a kid (under 13) trick or treating it's fun, if you're a teen trick or treating that's called begging.
Depends how tall you are, im in 7th and im the size of a 4th grader! so, i still go out and trick or treat. But, it might also depend on a costume, one that covers your face would help so they dont know your age! Go to family first because they'll give you candy no matter how old you are and then go trick or treating. Maybe take around some neighbor's litttle kid for help.
I think that you should be able to go trick or treating until your about 15-16. Although when my cousins went trick or treating one was 13 the other was 15 and when they asked for some candy they were told they needed to stop stealing candy from kids because they were told they were way to old.
I would give candy to any age, though please dress up. I still wouldn't deny you candy but it is the game-- you let me see how adorable or scary you can dress up and I give you free candy :D I think everybody that is school age should go out and have fun with it and anybody that ignorantly says, "they are too old to trick-or-treat" should get egged and tp-ed. (and if it rains afterwards consider it karma as it sticks to your grass and trees) muahhahahaha.. btw I super hate the comment "they are too old to trick-or-treat" because my son has always been ALOTTTT bigger and taller than the kids his age although his mind obviously is not and so freaking think about it before you go hurting some kids feelings acting like a jerkwad. KARMA TO ALL ... KARMA TO ALL
. I feel like if your Mommy isn't holding your hand, you're too old. Most teenagers do not dress up to go out so they're just out begging for candy. If you get in the spirit of things & costume up, then it's candy for you because you're having fun. If no costume, no candy! they get condiments that I get with my take out. Ketchup, soy sauce, mustard, etc. You get the picture. I guess to me it all depends if you are trick or treating or begging. So if you come to my house are you gonna get some candy or a pack of hot taco sauce?
I'm 14 and I'm going this year a lot of my friends have stopped but I never went when I was younger as I didn't leave in the friendliest/safest neighbourhood and it's only my second year going. Your never to old but it's when you stop making an effort and just do it for free sweets or to bother people. You should never put an age on youth.
