What to pack for first time cruise?

Going on first cruise in 1 week 2 days. I'm only 14 so don't worry about passport, airplane ticket, important documents, money, etc. It is an 8 day cruise to Caribbean (Stopping in Aruba and 2 other islands)

As for clothing, you will be here for 9 days so you will need:
~5 pairs of pants or shorts (or mix of the two)
~5 blouses
~1 pair each of: sneakers, sandals, and flip-flops
~9 changes of underwear
~Several pairs of socks
~If you are female, a bra and at least one nice dress for the formal dinner
~If you are male, a nice jacket and pair of slacks for the formal dinner
~A bathing suit
~A sweater or light jacket for the day time, as well as a warmer jacket for the evening
~Sunscreen and sunglasses
~
Now the reason I did not say 9 complete changes of clothing is that you can get the already worn clothing washed on board ship. So this will save on packing space. Be sure to pack items that will mix and match with each other. Plus...most people buy souvenir t-shirts and such that can be worn as well.

They have blow dryers in each cabin so no need to bring that, but if you use a curling iron you will need to bring that. Then do not forget your regular every day essentials (toothpaste, tooth brush, soap, etc).

Mostly you need to bring a good attitude and yearning for adventure!

If your cruise ship is going into another country's territory, you will need one to board the ship. I am assuming your parents are taking care of all this stuff, but do not be misled by thinking you do not need one.

You ARE going to have a responsible adult along, I hope. Ask them what you need to bring.

Yes but... I am very responsible, they trust me, and I already made a list but am making sure I don't forget anything obvious... My parents are busy, both work 5-6 days a week, 10 hours a day, need to do their own packing and make sure everything else is in place... They don't need to "babysit" me...

Hip boots, for when the plumbing backs up and floods poo water all over the place...Maybe that's why it's called the "poop deck"...

That's amazing, I take my wife and our three sons once a year. Pack clothes for each day you will be gone(unless your parents plan on paying for laundry),sandles and shoes( they might have sport activities on ship) and of course swimming gear(couple sets) they provide towels. And wear a watch incase your parents let you venture on your own on the ship, you can be given a time and place to meet up with them. Have fun and be safe! My son was playing basketball on the ship and was pushed down and cracked his head open( 12 stitches and last couple days on our vacation sucked because of it.) not to mention the medical bill. God bless

1. Clothes (tops)- T-shirts/tanks cause they are comfortable, won't matter if they get left behind, easier in the laundry (some ships allow you to do your own laundry)

2. clothes (bottoms)-Jeans/sweatpants- incase it's a little cool on deck or if u sleep in sweatpants

3. Extra socks and underwear- incase you lose 1 sock and no longer have a "pair" and extra underwear

4. Bathing suits & etc- don't forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and a swimsuit, hair &body products.

5. Entertainment- dont forget your chargers! Bring an extra camera and a note/sketch pad, and some money incase you wanna buy some stuff

I've been to Aruba a bunch of times. When you get there don't stay in town. Catch a cab and tell them you want to go to eagle beach. It's beautiful and not that far. You can just hang on the beach all day. Or if your there all day there's a snorkel trip that's great. It's on a pirate ship ask if they have that one available and take it if they do. Have fun and the Caribbean is very casual and warm. Just shorts, a cute top and flip flops and you'll fit right in. Have a great time!!!!!
