That would be weird. It's ok for a nickname. I knew a lady who named her daughter Candice. She called her Candycane as a pet name. For a real name it's kind of weird though. Like Rusty Pipes or Dusty Rhoades.
I don't mean to be rude I am a very open minded person but..Naming your child Candy sounds fine but Candy cane is a little much. She will probably get teased in school, not to mention she will probably hate her name. Again just an opinion, nothing personal.

not really. when i have kids if i was to have a boy i was thinking of giving him the name lyosha raven. just remember when she gets into school she could get picked on. so be careful. you could name her caroline or cherokee
If she grows up to be a smart, professional woman she will want a name that will elicit respect from her peers. Candy Cane sounds very sweet for a little girl but how does Candy Cane, Esquire sound? Or Senator Candy Cane? If your heart is set on Candy Cane please name her Candice or any other "C" name and use Candy as a nickname. You can also use Candy as a middle name that she can choose not to use in the future if necessary. For example: Elizabeth Candy Cane. You can call her Candy and when she grows up she has the option of using Elizabeth Cane or whatever other first name you choose.
