Probably another crazy Pagon thing... Easter and Christmas are the dates of Pagon holidays but Christians wanted to take a day of remembrance from what happened a long time ago on days that we'd have too much trouble tracing back to... Easter is the day Christians remember Christ's sacrifice that should always be the center of our focus anyway. As for eggs... I don't like eggs but if there's any Pagon theme I like in the holiday its the price one tarty or chocolaty candies.
Easter used to be a pagan holiday of the celebration of life and the creation of life. Eggs and rabbits were symbols of fertility. When the roman emperor Constantine converted to Christianity the celebration was converted to a remembrance of Jesus. So that's where the eggs come in.
