I live in Vegas, there are family friendly shows. Once you arrive check with the hotel with which you are staying. They offer great tourist books with coupons and 2for1 specials. We have a huge water park opening soon but I don't know exactly when( scheduled for summer 2013). Enjoy the city!
Must tell you, first thing to remember is to use the different forms of transportation. If you take the bus tho, REMEMBER..you must give them the RIGHT FEE because they DON'T GIVE BACK CHANGE/BILLS. If you give them a $10,00 bill for a $5.00 fee..You won't get back $5.00!!
Wear comfortable walking shoes, sneakers. Carry water with you at all times. The best prices for souvenirs and post cards were at the old Vegas strip..only a short bus trip away from the main strip..The old strip has a free fabulous light show that can't be missed!!!! Kids will love it.
Many hotels offer free shows . Ask for info on free shows at each hotel you visit. Make a schedule of times for events.
Also Check out the free deals or half price coupons. The Earl of Sandwich has great deals and good food. . MGM offered coupons for food if you would participate in a television show review and comment session..Was fun, did not take long and took some weight off your feet :)
There is a fun free Pirates show in front of one of the hotels and another hotel offers a free Explosion Volcano show just a short distance away. This is usually held at dusk..etc.
