No. Big cats are not pets. The need lots of land to travel and they are extremely strong and agile. If you have ever aggravated a house cat and been swat by it, you know it can sting. Now take that swat and put 175 lb cat behind it.
People try to do it and then realize they are in over their heads. That is why there are big cat rescues through out country.
You can train them like a house pet but they're instinct and such will always take over. They may seem like pets but they have not been trains for thousands of years like dogs or cats. They are used to hunting and they're natural instincts. They will most likely turn on you in the end
I know a man who has a female mountain lion as a pet...she is kept in her habitat, but he goes in with her as if she were a house cat...and that growl she makes is one of the scariest things I've ever heard...I stayed outside the fence.
