Does the sun have an atmosphere?

Yeah but not the kind you can breathe. Chromosphere, photosphere, etc etc. (By the way, thank you History Channel, 'cause I sure as heck didn't learn any of this in publik skool!)

I believe it's called the corona. I think I will look it up to be sure.

It's called the corona, it's visible to the naked eye during a solar eclipse, the corona "atmosphere" is actually hotter than the surface of the sun.

I don't know, the question was asked and I looked it up.scientists say they have instruments that can depict these things.
