If you buy tickets off of Ebay or Craigslist and they are not valid, are you allowed to sue the seller?

If you buy tickets (like to Disneyland or Sea World) and they can't be used, are you allowed to sue the seller (assuming they can be found) and get your money back?

It is pretty tough to sue after purchasing bogus items on ebay because the seller is so annonymous. If you can track that person down, and prove that it was without a doubt THE person who sold you the item .. you might have a chance, to not only sue but have them charged with fraud.

I recently saw a program about this happening with Super Bowl tickets. Unless you can find the person and involve the proper authorities, you, unfortunately, are basically out of luck. Of course, I hope you can find a way to get your money back. Good luck.

If you buy from EBay you have recourse to their program for settling differences. If you buy from Craigslist, you are out of luck if the tickets are no good (unless you can find them and take them to court.)
