I think he would say that unless there is only one guy left and one woman left, why does it even matter? we should just let people love who they want to love no matter what gender. I mean its all over the news with people saying things like, "oh its so terrible how can they do this to their own kind! Because of these people we're all going to die off!" If you can't tell, I support it and think it's worse than childish to say that this is anything bad!
It doesn't matter. Who a person loves is entirely up to them, and it isn't fair for anything to suggest they'll be punished for it. Still, if it's a person's belief, it's their own opinion, but I'd keep it personal.
Jehovah God established rules governing marriage long before governments began regulating the institution. The opening book of the Bible tells us: “A man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24) The Hebrew word “wife,” according to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words, “connotes one who is a female human being.” Jesus confirmed that those yoked together in marriage should be “male and female.”—Matthew 19:4.
Thus, God intended marriage to be a permanent, intimate bond between a man and a woman. Men and women are designed to complement each other so they may be capable of satisfying each other’s emotional and sexual needs and of providing children.
I am fairly sure he would not be wildly enthusiastic. But I can not see him condemning anyone, as he treated the woman caught in adultery and said, "neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more." This implies a change of lifestyle, so perhaps there was one, perhaps not. In either case, he did not come to condemn the world, but so that it might be saved.
Well... if or when "Jesus" comes back, then he can make a ruling on the matter. Until then, however, our laws are still based on the Constitution, NOT on the bible. And the Constitution promises all citizens equality under the law. So, we're gonna go with the equality thing for now. And if Jesus has a problem with that, then he can feel free to show himself before today's session of the US Supreme Court. Otherwise, he forfeits his argument.
This what Jesus would say ===READ=============But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. (Mark 10:6-12 KJV)
I would not dare venture a guess as to what Christ would say. It might shock many exactly what He would say. It might not. All I know is I'm not the judge and as long as no one hurts anyone I don't care what people do.
If the OT and NT are the works of the same god (according to Christian trinity) then whatever God the Father said in the OT — including words against homosexuality — must have been said by the Son, and the Spirit as well and vice-versa! Therefore, we need not speculate what Jesus WOULD say about homosexuality, because we ALREADY KNOW his mind upon the subject!
In the OT Jesus said directly, by His own mouth; in Leviticus 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination"; and indirectly, through others in NT passages condemn homosexuality in Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and 1 Timothy 1:9-10.
However, the probability is that, if Jesus were alive today, he would have spent 80% of his time and life-force in cursing, condemning and coercing homosexuality and homosexual marriages. And, in this homophobic effort his most favorite words would have been "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels!"
If we read what is quoted at 1 Corinthians 6:9,10 - it is stated - "What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purpose..."
Other Bible translations render the expression “men who lie with men” in various ways, as follows: sodomites, perverts, sexual perverts, homosexual perverts, homosexual perversion, and just plain homosexuals.
Don’t you realize that this is not the way to live? Unjust people who don’t care about God will not be joining in his kingdom. Those who use and abuse each other, use and abuse sex, use and abuse the earth and everything in it, don’t qualify as citizens in God’s kingdom.
Some clergymen argue in favor of homosexuality, claiming that Jesus never spoke against it. But is that really so? Jesus Christ declared that God’s Word is truth. (John 17:17) That means that he endorsed God’s view of homosexuality as described at Leviticus 18:22, which reads: “You must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing.” Moreover, Jesus listed fornication and adultery among the “wicked things [that] issue forth from within and defile a man.” (Mark 7:21-23) The Greek word for fornication is a broader term than that for adultery. It describes all forms of sexual relations outside lawful marriage, including homosexuality. (Jude 7) Jesus Christ also warned his followers not to tolerate any professed Christian teacher who minimizes the seriousness of fornication.—Revelation 1:1; 2:14, 20
"For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh'? ?So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together let no man put apart."(Matt. 19:5, 6)In homosexual acts the sex organs are used in an unnatural way, in a way they were never purposed. Two persons of the same sex are not complements of each other, as Adam and Eve were. They could never become "one flesh" in order to reproduce.
He would say it wasn't natural and it wasn't right, and that he loves you all the same, but he doesn't support it. Actually, I don't think any of us should be saying what Jesus would think. Isn't that his decision? Maybe you should ask him!
Well Jesus was a man who believed in God's word. God's word the bible says that homosexuality is wrong: (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) " What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God's kingdom? Do not be misled. neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor MEN WHO LIE WITH MEN, 10. nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, will inherit God's kingdom." Romans 1:24-27 " Therefore God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might dishonored among them, 25 even those who exchange the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen 26 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female, and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males working what is obscene and receiving in themselves recompense, which was due for their error.
