What is the difference between getting a certificate in Graphic or Web Design and getting Adobe Certification? Which one is better?

Adobe Certification is proof that you know Adobe's products. Graphic or Web Design Certification is proof that you have a level of artistic skills, graphic design knowledge, and understand web design, whether or not you use Adobe's products (yes, there are products other than DreamWeaver and PhotoShop).

I'm still confused, because when I look at the courses listed under Web Design or Graphic Design certificates..........they are only training is Adobe products.

What would be better career wise?

Adobe products are certainly the most widely used. But what really matters is the basic skills, like WHY to resize an image instead of just HOW to resize it in PhotoShop. Make sur ethe classes are more that just software training. Any kind of designer needs to know basic design skills, which often use just paper and pencil, and communication skills, which include visual communication, written communication, what colors communicate, etc. Graphic Arts and Design can be taught with no computer at all.

Adobe certification = from Adobe, so focused on their products.

General certificate or college diploma = using a variety of products.
