A story about a young boy who grows up on his own living in the streets and has to live with the struggles of being homeless and hungry. While in a farmers market a man witnesses the boy stealing some food and gets caught. Instead of getting punished by law the man buys him the food the boy was attempting to steal. The man is a small time director that was looking for inspiration for a tv commercial and decides he wants the boy in the commercial..... I am totally making this up as I go along. Idk just Wing it! Hahaha
How about this. I like to write so ill give you one of my storyline. It was about a boy who just moved into a new neighborhood. His father is at war. He meets new friends at school and a bully. The bully will always tease the other boy. In a twisted turn of events he learns the bully's mother is very ill and his father is a war as well. They become friends. I'm not going to give you all the details because, you know. Hope this helps!!
I'm a reader and short story writer and teen myself, I'd say anything that's outside the box and isn't easily foreshadowing. Also has humor in it, but humor that makes the reader feel like its an inside joke kind of humor that you can only get from reading the book. Thats what i like. I like feeling included. Not just reading it. But feeling like im on the same level, and not outside of the world in which I'm reading in. Or, Like mystery/sci-fi/romance/magical. Big topics lately are time traveling, or writing about a different knd of world where people have powers or are different than just normal humans, or metaphysical. Abstract. I dunno, go with whatever you think, in those categories! I'm sure people would like it! And sometimes I think I see more teen readers than adults!
